The students returning from Camp Allen should be arriving for pick up at WCE around 3:45. Please come to covered parking by the soccer field to pick them up. (Plz don't block the entrance. The bus will be pulling in there as well.)

This notification is to inform you that today we received a student report that a classmate possibly had a gun in their backpack. Please know that all district safety procedures were followed and the matter was handled swiftly with an airsoft gun being found.
We commend the student who came forward for their bravery and responsibility in speaking up. This reflects the shared commitment to make our school safe.

Thanks to CIS, WCE will be doing a drawing for 4 Free Football Tickets at the end of the 9 weeks grading period. To be entered into the drawing, a student must have perfect attendance. All WCE homerooms are also working to fill up their "Cookie Jar Attendance Trackers" to earn a Cookie Party. Once they have 20 days of perfect attendance as a class, they earn their reward. Congratulations to Mr. Langford's homeroom for being the first class to fill up their Attendance Trackers and earn a cookie party! #Attendance Matters

Please join us at the parent orientation at 4:30 in the gym.
To discover who your child's teacher is for the 2025-2026 school year, you will walk to the green, yellow or red walls at the end of each grade level hallway and line up in front of the staffed tables. Simply tell the WCE staff member your child's name, and they will give you the name of their teacher.
Green Wall: 4th and 5th Graders
Yellow Wall: 2nd and 3rd Graders
Red Wall: Life Skills, Kindergarteners and 1st Graders
If your child will be a bus rider at any time during the school year, please contact the CBISD transportation department (after your online registration is completed) to ensure that your child is registered with the transportation department. You child's teacher will need to know what bus route your child will take to get home safely at Meet the Teacher. (Someone from transportation will be on site at Meet the Teacher to assist you as needed, but it is much faster to simply call them ahead of time.)
