✏️ First Day of School – Wednesday! ✏️
Doors open at 7:30 AM all students go to the cafeteria, teachers pick up at 7:45.

🚗 Car Riders: AM = ONE lane, PM = TWO lanes.
🚌 Bus Riders: Bus lane only, car drop-offs will be redirected.

Parents will not walk students to class. If you wish to walk your student(s) to the front doors, please park in the parking lot. Do not block the bus lane.

🚦Fewer people in hallways = A safer, smoother morning. Rest assured, we have plenty of staff to help get students where they need to be. 💛

Just a reminder, Car Rider has ONE lane during Drop-Off in the AM and TWO lanes during Pick-Up in the PM.

🚌 Bus Riders will Drop-Off and Pick-Up in the Bus Lane.
You will be sent to the Car Lane if you attempt to drop your student off in the Bus Lane!
Parents will not be allowed to walk their student(s) to class. If you wish to walk your student(s) to the front doors, please park in the parking lot. Do NOT block the Bus Lane.
Limiting foot traffic in the hallways helps reduce congestion so staff can focus on safely moving students to their destination.
Rest assured, we will have plenty of staff on hand to walk students to the cafeteria and/or their classrooms. Your cooperation helps us keep every child safe.

Meet the Teacher Night is just around the corner! Join us on Tuesday, August 5th from 5:30–7:00 PM here at Barrow Elementary. 📌 Grade Level Parent Meeting Schedule 📌 -All meetings will be held in the Cafeteria with Ms. Galloway- 5th Grade & 4th Grade – 5:30–6:00 PM, 3rd Grade – 6:00–6:30 PM, 2nd Grade – 6:30–7:00 PM. These brief sessions will cover ALL things Barrow Elementary- Including Derrickhand Expectations, our campus attendance goals, campus PBIS Initiatives, and tips on how to stay connected this school year! August is quickly approaching, and we hope this early reminder helps you make any necessary arrangements to attend. We can’t wait to see everyone and kick off a great school year together!

🎓 5th Grade Walk of Honor & Awards Ceremony 🎉 Barrow families, Join us as we celebrate our incredible 5th graders with one final walk through the halls of Barrow Elementary before they head off to West Brazos Junior High! 📅 Tuesday, May 20th 🚶 Walk of Honor begins promptly at 8:30 AM 🏆 Awards Ceremony will follow at 9:00 AM Parents and loved ones are invited to line the halls, cheer them on, and help us send them off with all the love and encouragement they deserve. Let’s give them a Barrow send-off to remember!

Dear Barrow Families, As the year winds down and I reflect on the joy, the growth, and even the gray hairs, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the love and support that make Barrow feel like home. Stepping into the role of principal at Barrow has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. This school isn’t just where I work—it’s where my heart is. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, offering your support, and trusting me with what matters most—your children. There’s no greater honor than getting to lead a school like Barrow. The love, energy, and resilience that fill these halls are unmatched and your children are the heart of it all. They’ve made me laugh, challenged me to grow, and reminded me every single day why I chose this work—and why I would choose it all over again. As we look ahead, I want to continue growing and improving as a leader. I’m a firm believer in never becoming complacent—there’s always room to do better, to listen more, and to lead with even greater purpose.
