Columbia-Brazoria Independent School District Information
Our Community CBISD offers a friendly, small town feeling with the convenience of nearby Houston. Spread over 225 square miles, the district's population is concentrated in West Columbia, Brazoria, Wild Peach and numerous small communities. The area is rich in early Texas history, country living and hometown friendliness. Columbia Lakes is located within the district and offers golf, tennis, and swimming facilities. Houston is just fifty miles away, providing access to museums, opera, ballet, theatres, orchestras, sports venues, restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
Our district Motto and Vision
Catch the Challenge, Learn for Life!
A dynamic organization that empowers a community of learners who dare to dream, take risks, and develop new realities.
House Bill 5 requires each district to evaluate the district’s performance on community and student engagement.
The purpose of the Community and Student Engagement Survey is to tell the story of what is happening in districts and on campuses when it’s not a test day.
Final results will be posted on the CBISD website in mid-June. Thank you for your participation.
