Students who are absent must return to school with a written excuse from their parent/guardian stating when they were absent and why. Students will be given 3 days to bring a note, after that the absence will be recorded as an unexcused absence. It is the student’s responsibility to ask for make-up work and to make whatever arrangements are necessary to get that work in to the teacher. See the student handbook for the complete attendance policy.

Heavy coats, jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts are not allowed in class. Hooded sweaters, jackets, sweatshirts, or coats may not be worn in the classrooms. Any coat, jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt may be worn to school; however, they must be placed in the student’s locker if they are not within the dress code.

Each student has been given a picture I.D. The students must have the I.D. with them at all times. If a student loses his or her I.D. the student should inform us immediately. Replacement I.D.s are $3.00.

Students being driven to and from school must be dropped off and picked on the auditorium side of 15^th street. “Riders” and “walkers” are to enter the main building through the door on the auditorium side. “Bike riders” and “bus riders” must enter the school from the door under the covered waiting area on Clay street.

Motorized scooters, bicycles, or carts are not allowed on the WCJH campus.

Students have been issued lockers for their convenience. It is our suggestion that students place locks on their lockers and that they are kept locked. The WCJH administration may inspect these lockers at any time.
