Tests
All students will
take Accelerated Reader tests in their language
arts classroom. Point requirements for each
grading period have been set and appear on the
language arts web page.

The STAR Reading Team Eligibility
Requirements:
-
You may read only books
that have been approved by your teacher.
-
The following categories
will be included:
a. A minimum of
18 books must be read by April 1st.
b. Each test
must be passed with a grade of 70 or
higher.
c. One of the
books read must be at least 200 pages.
d. Two of the
remaining books must be an award-winning
book.
e. Cheating on
a test will automatically disqualify you
from the Star Reading Team.
Star Reading Team
Recognition:
-
Your teacher will post
your name on a star in their room and in
the library.
-
There will be a pizza
party of those making the team the first
semester.
-
The name of the student
earning the most points by April 1 of
the current school year will be engraved
on a wall plaque that is in the library.
-
Special recognition is
given to members at the end of the y
ear providing they abide by the rules
that follow:
a. Students may
not have been assigned to in-school
suspension, AEC, or home-suspension
more than one time during the current
school year.
b. Students may
not have been assigned to after-school
detention more than three times during
the current school year.
c. To be
eligible to go on any field trip,
students must be passing all classes
during the current 6-
weeks and have passed all classes the
6-weeks prior to the trip.
