Outstanding Students of America
The
scholarships are open to any current senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
and active in community service and school activities. Outstanding
Students of America is seeking a well rounded, intelligent student as a
recipient. Each winner receives $1,000 scholarship that may be used at
the college of the student’s choice. Ozarka – Every Drop Counts
Candidates must be planning to pursuer higher
education in the Earth/Environmental Sciences at an accredited four-year
college or university, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a US citizen. Pacesetter Award for
College Excellence at Texas Lutheran University
All qualified
applicants are expected to take part in a competitive event on the TLU
campus Sunday, February 18, 2007. This “Day of Exchange and Excellence”
will include an opportunity for each applicant to demonstrate writing
skills, interact with faculty as well as current and former Pacesetter
Scholars, and engage in a personal interview. Each eligible applicant who
participates in the campus event is guaranteed the minimum scholarship
amount.
PacifiCare Health Systems
Pacificare Health Systems is offering 25 $2,000 scholarships for
Spanish-speaking, bicultural high school students interested in pursuing
careers in the health care industry. High school seniors with a minimum
GPA of 3.0 and who are fluent in Spanish are eligible to apply.
Applicants must show proof of acceptance into a community college or an
accredited technical college and must be enrolled in an approved health
care program at the time they receive their scholarship. Papa John's Scholars
Program This program will award hundreds of $1,000 scholarships this
spring. One national winner will get a $5,000 scholarship. Judges will
look at community involvement, creative ability, leadership skills and

Scholarship & TSPE Scholarship Students interested in earning a degree
in engineering are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The Texas
Society of Professional Engineers encourages women to apply for these
scholarships, as well as entering the college of engineering at UT - Austin.
RHMC Future Achievers Scholarship Program
High school seniors who have at least one parent of African American, Asian
or Hispanic heritage and are eligible to attend a two-or-four year college
with a full course of study may apply. Most scholarship awards are a
minimum of $1,000. Students must submit a 2-page statement with the

Scholarships are awarded based upon academic achievement, financial
need, commitment to a college education and involvement in school and
community activities. SAE Engineering Scholarship Program
These are corporate sponsored scholarships ranging in value from $1,000 to
$10,000. Applicants must intend to earn a degree in engineering or a
related science and must be a senior. This program includes both
undesignated scholarships and University sponsored scholarships.
Sam Houston State University Scholarship
programs SHSU offers academic scholarship opportunities for beginning
freshman that excel in areas of academic achievement and leadership.
Scholarships range from $1,000 to $125 per semester. Students applying must
be intending to attend school in the fall of 2005. Sam Houston State University - Smith
Hutson College of Business Administration Scholarships These
scholarships are for up to $11,000 per year with a four-year commitment.
These are for students is rural schools, who have established need and
academic potential. Sam Walton Community Scholarship This is a non-renewable
$1,000 award for the student's first year of undergraduate study at an
accredited college or university. To qualify, the student must
be a graduating high school senior and may no be a Wal-Mart or Sam's Club
associate, or be the child or legal dependent of a Wal-Mart or Sam's Club
associate SAMMY 2007 Award
Program The
purpose of the SAMMY 2007 award program is to recognize outstanding scholar
athlete in grade 12. There will be 25 winners in the United States who will
receive a $7,500 college scholarship from milk. Applications will only be
accepted online. Savannah
College of Art and Design
Students must apply and be accepted to the college in order to be eligible
to receive a scholarship. Schreiner University, Schreiner Scholars
Student must have an 100 on SAT or 24 on ACT, GPA of 3.5, Top 1/2 of class
and pursuing a recommended diploma. Scholars receive a $36,000 academic
scholarship over four years. Sigma Phi Epsilon
Balanced Man Scholarship Award
Any male
high school senior with plans to attend Sam Houston State University in the
Fall of 2003 is eligible for these two scholarships. Slough Foundation
This offers both a
recurring and a one-time scholarship. Recipients are chosen on the basis of
need through the FAFSA, and academic achievement. These awards may be used
at the college of the students’ choice. All applicants must provide a one
page essay or letter concerning their need. Student View
Scholarship Program - $8,000 worth of scholarships offered to
high school seniors who plan to attend college. Just log on and
complete a 15 - 20 minute survey about colleges in your area. The
scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed
applications. Society of Petroleum Engineers
The purpose of this
scholarship is to encourage high caliber math and science students to choose
a college major leading to a career in the petroleum industry. The student
must have a GPA of 3.0, a minimum SAT of 1100, and be applying to the
science or engineering program of a university.
Society of Women Engineers
There are two scholarships available. First Scholarship $1,000 must be
pursuing an education in engineering. Freshman Scholarship student
must plan to major in science or engineering. South Texas Press Association Scholarship This is a $1,500
scholarship for a graduating high school student in a South Texas area high
school who is committed to a career in newspaper journalism. Southern Texas PGA
Foundation Scholarship Application
The STPGA
Foundation is offering up to 17 scholarships worth an estimated $36,500 for
the Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 college semesters. All applications are
available online. St. Edwards University Holy Cross
Scholarship Student must score at least a 1250 SAT or 28 ACT and be
ranked in the top 10 percent of their class. The selection of a
recipient is also based on demonstrated leadership ability, commitment to
community service, and the content of both the application for admission and
the Holy Cross Scholarship application. St. Edwards University Trustees Scholar
Award
Student must score at least a 1200 SAT or 27 ACT and be ranked in the top 20
percent of their class. The selection of a recipient is also based on
demonstrated leadership ability, commitment to community service and the
content of both the application for admission and the Holy Cross Scholarship
application. Award is $9,000 per year. Steinhardt School of Education Scholarship
New York University is interested in reaching students who excel
academically and demonstrate a dedication to serving others. They will
award merit and need based Education Scholarships ranging in value from
$1,000 to $15,000 annually to selected students who are accepted into one of
the teacher education curricula that lead to certification at the early
childhood, childhood or secondary level. Student must be nominated. Suntrust off to College Scholarship
Sweepstakes - Free to enter and eligibility not based on GPA or
financial need. Apply online. Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - accepting scholarship
application from stuents who have lost a parent to breast cancer. Up
to seven four-year scholarships will be awarded. Applicants must live
in Harris, Fort Bend, Chambers, Montgomery, Brazoris, or Galveston Counties,
exhibit financial need, and plan to attend a state-supported college in
Texas. Target All Around

Student must be a US citizen and have a GPA of 2.0 TCU Texas Youth
Entrepreneur of the Year Award Program Six students will receive
scholarships to any school that they choose: One $5,000 scholarship and five
$1,000 scholarships. If the student attends TCU, these scholarships
will be doubled. Students do not have to be seniors to apply.
Texas Association for Bilingual Education (TABE) provides
$1,000 scholarships for students planning to pursue a teaching career in
bilingual education. Texas A&M Opportunity
Awards The
Opportunity Award, which encompasses approximately 600 highly competitive
scholarships, was established to reward students who have excelled in high
school and to assist them with the financial burden of earning a college
degree. Texas Department of
Transportation
The conditional grant is available to qualified female and minority students
who are graduating high school seniors or current college students.
Applicants must be a Texas resident, and plan to attend a Texas four-year
public college or university. Applications will be considered for the
following majors: Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information
Systems, Management Information Systems. Texas Department of Transportation
Conditional Grant Program The grant will provide financial assistance
to eligible economically disadvantaged students majoring in civil
engineering, computer science, management information systems or computer
information systems. Student must be a Texas resident and plant to attend a
four-year Texas public college or university. |
