American Fire Sprinkler Association  This scholarship is designed to provide you with financial aid for education and at the same time introduce you to the industry.  The student must submit a 1,000 word essay on how fire sprinklers function and where they are located in your community.  The paper must include a bibliography and is submitted online.  $13,000 will be awarded to 7 winners.  Only the first 1,000 eligible essays will be accepted.

American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest  The subject to be used in the Oratorical Contest must be on some phase of the Constitution of the United States which will give emphasis to the attendant duties and obligations of a citizen to our government.  The speech must be at least 3 minutes but not more than 5 minutes.  If you are interested in this contest please see Mrs. Westbrook in the Guidance office.
